Please find enclosed the complete technical program of IMPC 2012 and related information below.
Authors' Breakfast and Copying of Your Presentations
All the authors are requested to please copy their presentations 24 hours in advance on the conference computer. Please do visit the Preview Room (Kalinga) in Hotel Ashok for any help / clarifications. All authors who are presenting papers on that day are cordially invited to the Authors Breakfast in Oudh Restaurant in Hotel Ashok at 7:30 AM on the day of their presentation. You are cordially invited to make it a point to be there for the Authors' Breakfast. We shall also have the authors breakfast meeting at 7;30 AM in Oudh Restaurant on Monday, September 24th, 2012 for authors who are presenting papers on Monday. Please do plan accordingly.
Please put up Posters by Monday Sept 23, 2012 Evening
The venue for Poster Sessions is Banquet Hall and Friendship Lounge on the Third Floor in Hotel Ashok.
Please note that all the authors are requested to be present at their posters on these two days. The authors of the short presentations are also requested put up their posters and be present for discussion with the delegates during the poster session. The posters should be put up certainly by Monday 5:00 PM.
The guidelines for presentations were already sent to you and uploaded on the website. We are providing them here again for your easy reference. Please do contact our congress help desk at the venue for any help / assistance.
Oral Presentations
The presentation time is 15 minutes followed by discussion for 5 minutes.
- All presentations should be made in MS Office XP/ MS Office 2007 / MS Office 2010.
- Any Fonts and Animations if used which are not a part of the standard MS Office pack should be included with the Presentation CD and this should be specified to the Audio Visual in charge at the Preview Room well in advance.
- Videos when included should be ideally in mpeg2 and if any other format is used its code should be also be included.
- If any different format is used, deviating from the above mentioned format, the same should be informed in advance so that alternative arrangements can be made where possible.
- The medium of storage used by the presenters can be CD, DVD, Flash Drive, USB HDD, PCI MCI card. Also any deviation from this should be informed so that alternative arrangements can be made if possible.
- All speakers using MAC Laptops and those requiring a MAC Laptop should inform us at least a day in advance.
- All speakers are also advised to bring their presentation on a DVD or CD in addition to a Pen drive, in case there are any problems with the pen drive.
Short Oral Presentations
The presentation time is 8 minutes. The discussion of the paper will take place during the dedicated poster sessions.
In order to adhere to the stipulated time, you are requested to adopt the following guidelines in preparing 5 power point slides as given below:
- Title of the paper, authors and affiliation
- Motivation and Objectives
- Experimental / Mathematical Model / Simulation Details
- Results (Figures/ Micrographs/ Photographs/ Flowsheet etc.)
- Summary and Conclusions (Salient findings to be highlighted)
The authors of Short Oral presentations are also required to display their paper as a Poster, as per the guidelines provided below.
Poster Presentations
Please note that the dedicated poster sessions will be organized on 25th and 26th September, 2012 from 4:00 – 5:30 PM. The authors are requested to put up their posters on September 24th, 2012. The authors are requested to be present next to their posters during the dedicated poster sessions.
- The poster board dimensions are: 90 cm width & 120 cm height. Please prepare your poster accordingly.
- The posters should be displayed in the "Portrait" format.
- The IMPC 2012 Paper number, Title, Authors and Affiliation should be printed in extra large characters (over 3 cm high) across the top of the display.
- The general format of the poster should be as follows: Introduction, methodology/experimental details, results and discussion, summary/conclusions, acknowledgements and references.
- The posters will be organized as per different themes/topics. Each poster will be assigned a board bearing the IMPC 2012 Paper number.
- Double –sided adhesive tape will be available for fixing the posters to the board.

Airport Transfers
For overseas delegates, on arrival at Indira Gandhi International airport, New Delhi, (Terminal-T3)
Kindly reach Costa Coffee counter, Costa coffee is located next to you as you walk out after the customs clearance. Our volunteers will be there to help you.
Radio taxis (MERU or MEGA ) are available which take you to the city. Payment is by the meter. It takes approximately an hour and the cost is around Rs 600 (USD 15). It is better to purchase Indian rupees at the airport (foreign exchange counters). Payment is to be made in Indian rupees to the taxis.

Registration starts at 11 AM on Sunday, 23rd September in Hotel Ashok in Room 292 on the Second Floor. There will be signs for IMPC registration in the lobby of Hotel Ashok.

Inaugural Function on Monday, September 24th
On behalf of the organizing committee, it is my pleasure to invite you and your colleagues to the Inaugural Function of the XXVI International Mineral Processing Congress, IMPC 2012. Professor Samir K Brahmachari, Director General, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) has kindly consented to be the Chief Guest. A soft copy of the invitation is enclosed for your kind reference. We shall be glad to send you hard copies, as needed.

Conference Program
Full conference program is uploaded on the website. It will also be available in the registration kit provided to all the delegates. Please do check when is your paper scheduled and plan accordingly. Please upload your presentation a day in advance and also be there for the Authors Breakfast on the day you are presenting your paper.
Poster Session
We have provided two sessions exclusively for the delegates to interact with the authors who are presenting posters. The schedule is as follows:
Poster Session I: Tuesday, 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM
Poster Session II: Wednesday, 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM

Cultural Evening in Hotel Ashok
You are very cordially invited to the cultural evening followed by a dinner on Tuesday, September 25th, 2012 in Hotel Ashok.
Congress Banquet on Thursday, September 27th, 2012
We would also like to very cordially invite you to our congress banquet which will be held in India Expo Centre, Greater Noida. Arrangements have been made to provide transport to all delegates (from Hotel Ashok to the venue and back) and to all the invitees who have booked in advance to participate in the banquet. Please note that all the registered delegates are entitled to book their tables during the banquet. The delegates are requested to book their tables in advance. Each delegate will thus have an assigned seat during the banquet. It is important that you please book your seat well in advance, certainly before Wednesday, September 26th, 2012 at the Banquet Desk. The layout of the tables in the banquet hall along with table numbers will be available at this desk. We would like to avoid last minute embarrassment.
A limited passes are available at the Congress Help Desk to those who have not registered for the congress. You are most welcome to purchase those passes (Rs 9500 or USD 180 per pass).

- Information Required for Visa Formalities
Dear Colleague
We are sure all of you are aware that one needs a valid visa to enter India.
In order to facilitate visa formalities, we shall issue a formal letter of invitation to you. In some cases, we also need the ministry's prior clearance for this purpose. Hence, we request you to kindly provide the visa related information, as per the template provided in the attached document. All Indian citizens are requested to please ignore this mail.
We would of course very much appreciate if you could please arrange to scan the first and the last pages of the passport (which normally contain the information requested by us).
Please treat this as urgent and send the filled document as soon as possible by email to contact@impc2012.org.

- Acceptance or rejection of papers has been communicated to all corresponding authors. Please contact IMPC2012 Secretariat in case you have not received any communication regarding the abstracts submitted by you.

- Call for preliminary bids to host the XXIX IMPC in 2018
As is known the XXVII IMPC will take place in Santiago,Chile, in 2014 and the XXVIII IMPC in Quebec City, Canada, in 2016. The Council now invites countries wishing to bid to host the XXIX IMPC in 2018 to submit preliminary bids to be considered at the time of the forthcoming Congress in New Delhi. Based on the quality of such preliminary bids countries will be invited to submit formal comprehensive bids for consideration at the time of the XXVII IMPC in Santiago at which time a decision will be taken regarding the venue of the XXIX IMPC in 2018. Further information on what information should be submitted at the time of the New Delhi Congress can be obtained from the Chairman of the Council (Cyril.oconnor@uct.ac.za). Documentation should be submitted to the IMPC Secretariat (Mrs Meg Winter, meg.winter@uct.ac.za) at least 3 weeks prior to the Congress, viz. by no later than Monday 2 September, 2012.
